Terms and conditions

When booking with Queech Woodland Activities please ensure that you have read the following information and agree to the following terms and conditions. When a booking is made, we will take that as confirmation that you have read, understood and will comply with our terms and conditions.

  1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.1       We will start promptly. So please meet at the car park 5 minutes before your allotted time as we will be unable to wait for you to start the session.

1.2       Bring enough drinking water for your whole group for the duration of the session. we have no running water on site. Some sessions will have tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided so please bring along a mug if you would like some.
1.3       Ensure that everyone is dressed appropriately see guidance in Para 2
You must wear closed toe shoes no one wearing sandals or flip flops will be permitted to take part in activities.

1.4       Please make the accompanying adult aware of the terms and conditions

1.5       Please ensure that all children attending who are walking have a ticket!

 

  1. CLOTHING

2.1       It is important you are dressed appropriately for your session the woodland is exposed and we will operate in all weathers.

2.2       In cold wet weather ensure you are well wrapped up, lots of layers is best with hats gloves, scarfs, waterproofs and wellies / boots.

 

2.2       In hot weather it is still a good idea to wear long trousers as protection from the undergrowth and hats and sun cream will still be required.

2.3       A change of clothes and towel in the car is always a good idea.

2.4      No open toes shoes, sandals, flip flops or crocs or flammable clothing. Anyone with unsuitable footwear or clothing may be excluded from taking part in some or all the activity.

  1. MEDICAL

3.1       I agree to all participants taking part in the activities. I know of no reason medical or otherwise why they should not participate and that all are fit to undertake the activities.

3.2       I will ensure that the group leader is aware of any reasons medical or otherwise regarding my child or the accompanying adult that may affect their participation or medical treatment prior to the start of each session.

3.3       I accept that the activities contain hazards that may result in injury, and I accept the risks involved. I shall be responsible for the actions and involvement of all participants.

3.4       I consent to the participants receiving emergency treatment if necessary.

3.5       I shall be responsible for the behaviour and involvement of all participants during the session and understand consistent disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and I may be asked to leave the session.

 

  1. CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS / PAYMENTS

4.1       We will only cancel sessions in extreme weather conditions mainly high winds, lack of take up or events beyond our control. If we cancel a session an alternative date or full refund will be provided

4.2       If you cancel or miss a session without giving 14 days’ notice then unfortunately no refunds or alternative dates can be provided. Pre 14 days then an alternative date or refund may be offered depending on the situation.

4.3       For parties a 25% non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm your booking. Full payment will be required 14 days prior to booking date, or we reserve the right to cancel your booking and offer the time slot to other customers if you fail to make payment.

4.4       Payments for all activities must be made in full prior to participation.

4.5       If we must cancel an activity sometimes at short notice all participants will be informed at the earliest opportunity. In case of extreme weather conditions, it may be worth checking emails or our social media for updates before traveling.

 

  1. MISCILANNOUES

5.1       Any tools required for the sessions will be provided by us you are not permitted to bring your own pen knives or other tools on site.

5.2       We will have a mobile phone for safety purposes but ask that mobiles or other electrical devices only be used in an emergency.

5.3       Photos can only be taken with the permission of all members present at the group and only of your own child. If you do not want, you or your child to be photographed please make the leader aware at the start of the session.

5.4       We are an off-grid site with no power, running water or waste collection. Hand washing facilities are available but we will not have a waste bin so you must take all your rubbish home with you.

5.5       Smoking is not allowed in the woodland only in the parking area.

 

  1. Data Protection

6.1       We will comply at all times with current Data Protection legislation and regulation in relation to your personal information. We believe that all personal data we request is necessary to conduct our business and to supply our services to you. We will use the personal information you provide to us only to:

  1. provide the services
  2. make contact with you about your booking
  3. process your payment for such services

6.2       We will not store any of your bank or payment information any provided to us will be treated with the utmost confidence inline with data protection.
